A gloomy saturday morning greeted all of the competitors at our home track and we where hoping that all our problems would be behind us as we headed into the final round of The TCR UK Championship At last we had the pace in the car that we new had been there all yearAnd after a good free practise we where confident of a good grid position for race 1 Again just like croft the conditions where changeable, except this time around the team where on their game at one stage when the track was wetter we where fastest car on the track. After posting 5th fastest time with a  minute to go we still had 5th spot on the grid and with tyres that where incapable of going any quicker we pitted only to be pipped in the dying seconds.Nevertheless we where very pleased with a competitive 6th place As the grid lined up for the start of race 1  the track was still wet and I was feeling very confident…..but only for a few seconds as the lights went out I hit the throttle and immediately lost all drive as the driveshaft had snapped Despite frantic efforts to find a replacement for race 2 the best we could do was weld the broken shaft and hope for the best.Unfortunately as we released the car from the garage into the pit lane it snapped again.

So our season had come to an end with another retirement Not what we had hoped for ,but as they say “Thats Racing !”
